Cookies and Privacy Policy

Paul Fillingham - revised: April 2024

Using your information

This privacy notice tells you what happens to personal information when you make contact with me or use one of my services. It applies to information collected about website visitors, customers, and partners.

When someone visits a website, I use third-party services including Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to find out things like the number of visitors the website attracts or to measure the engagement the contact form receives. I can analyse this data to see how I can improve the user experience.

This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone. I do not make any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting my websites.

If I need to collect personally identifiable data through the website, I make this explicit - for example, when giving consent to subscribers of a service.

As a website developer I value transparency and will make it clear when I collect personal information and will explain what I intend to do with it.

Using contact forms

I track information submitted to contact forms. Information submitted by this method is not shared with third-party organisations. I only use this information to answer enquiries in line with the intention it was provided.

Use of cookies

This site uses cookies for two things:

  • To allow measurement and analytics tools to find out how people are using the site, so I can monitor and improve the experience provided.
  • To provide a seamless experience where links are made to, or from, third-party sites such as YouTube or Vimeo.

I do not put information into cookies which is personal, or which would allow anyone else to identify a visitor to the website. Website cookies are harmless and useful and used extensively by web browsers. They can be disabled using your browser's privacy and cookies settings page, but this may limit certain website functions.

Mailing list

I use a mailing list to send articles and case studies, to publicise or remind you about events, and to share new information and features. I do not sell data to anyone.

Security and performance

I use a third-party service to help maintain the security and performance of the website. It records the IP addresses of visitors to the website.

Social media messages

If you send a private or direct message via any of our social media channels the message will be stored. It will not be shared with any other organisations but may be used to improve services that benefit you.

Email messages

I monitor any emails sent, including file attachments, for viruses or malicious software. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send is within the bounds of the law.

Using services

I offer various digital design services to clients and hold the details of the people who have requested the service in order to provide it. I only use these details to provide the service requested and not for any other purpose.

Storing information

I do not collect more information than is needed to fulfil a stated purpose. All personally identifiable information (PII) is held for a minimum of six months and then deleted where relevant in accordance with GDPR practice.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have rights I need to make you aware of. The rights available to you depend on the reason for processing your information. You can read more about these rights at the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) website. This privacy notice was created following ICO guidelines. It does not provide exhaustive details of all aspects of the collection and use of personal information, but I am happy to provide any additional information where needed.

Access to personally identifiable information

I am transparent about the data I hold. Individuals can find out if I hold any personally identifiable information by making a subject access request under data protection law. If I do hold information about you I will tell you:

  • Why the data is being used
  • What type or types of data are being used
  • How long your data will be kept
  • If data is transferred to third parties, including their names and the reasons for the transfer
  • If data is being transferred overseas, including the country involved and what will be done with the data
  • Your information rights
  • Where the data is from
  • If data is being used for profiling

To make a request for any personal information held, please direct the request in writing to paul @ thinkamigo.com or contact the address provided below.

Disclosure of personal information

I will not disclose personal data without active consent from the individual in question unless legally obliged to do so.

This privacy notice does not cover links to other websites. I encourage you to read the privacy statements on the other websites you visit.
